If you wanted to suggest this story to a friend, what would you say it is mostly about?
The book Dewey is a nonfiction story about a cat who was abandoned at a library, and was found in the morning by the author, Vicki Myron, who is the librarian at this time. Vicki, then asked the person who was in charge of this library if they could allow Dewey, the cat Vicki found, stay in the library. Dewey then got popular, and people around the Spencer, Iowa would make a special trip to see Dewey. If you like books about cats, then this one might be your style.
Would you choose the main character of the story to be your friend? Why or why not?
No, I wouldn't choose any characters to be my friends in the Hunger Games series because it would require me to be in the novel, and I don't think I would want to live through what happens in these novels. In Mockingjay, it would be though to deal with Katniss because she would probably kill me like how she wanted to kill Peeta to save him at the beginning of this novel. Although, I do know she can be caring, like when she helped Johanna when she wanted to leave the hospital, Katniss said that she would room with her so she could be able to leave.
Create a playlist of 10 songs for this book and explain how each relates.
I actually only know one song that I know that matches the Hunger Games series perfectly. The song is by Rise Against with the title of Re-Education. This song matches the novels well because in the song, the singer says, "We crawl on our kneels for you, under a sky no longer blue. We sweat, all day long for you." This phrase connects because Katniss was raised in District 12, the poorest out of all 12 Districts. They are practically making the lives in the capitol more luxurious while District 12 has cobblestone roads.

What would be one small detail that, if changed, might change the outcome of the story.
In the beginning of Catching Fire Katniss said that when her father passed away she would have sold her body to Cray, a peace keeper in District 12, if she was a little older as a source of money towards Prim and her mother. Instead, she hunted for food. Also, if she was a little older, she might not have been able to take her sisters place in the reaping, so the book would have either focused on Prim in the Hunger Games, or Katniss watching her sister throughout the Hunger Games.
Do you want to read something else by this author? Why or why not?
I do not want to read anything else by this Suzanne Collins because I already read the first 3, and I am bored of the story line between Katniss and the Hunger Games. Another reason I don't want to read another novel by Suzanne Collins for this class is because I still have to read a nonfiction novel by the end of the semester.
Create an alternative setting for the book. How would things be different and how would they be the same?
If I were to put in a different setting, I would put it so Districts 1-12 would all be the same amount of wealth, and the Capitol would only slightly be wealthier because of the amount of population there. District 1-12 would also keep the product of production (Examples: 12 is Coal, 4 is Fish or aquatic life) If this was the true setting, I doubt there would be any hunger games. If each District had the same wealth, Katniss wouldn't have had to hunt after her father had passed away. Her mother and Prim could have opened a clinic.
Explain what the main character’s most pressing problem is at this time.
Currently, in Mockingjay, Katniss' toughest issue is that she needs to train for the battle in the Capitol. She and Johanna had been put into training with 14 and 15 year-olds because she isn't strong enough to enter battle, and claim vengence on president Snow. Another issue Katniss has is that Peeta hates her, and she feels a little sad and guilty. She feels sad because, in her eyes, Peeta was very kind to her, and she also feels guilty because she was leading an empty romance with him because she didn't like him in the same way.
